The Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra presents our season opener Dances, exploring music written for and inspired by dance around the world.

Brian Morales: Harlem Dances (premiere of arrangement for string orchestra commissioned by the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra)

Prior to the concert, at 2:15pm bring the whole family to our "Meet the Instruments" petting zoo where even our youngest listeners can get up close and personal with their favorite instruments before seeing them come alive onstage.
Storytime with the Symphony
The Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra is pleased to present a 3-concert series in partnership with Word Up Community Bookshop, featuring books from the “Uptown Kid Lit” list with thoughtful connections to themes that will be familiar to every child growing up in Washington Heights. All performances will take place at Recirculation, a project of Word Up Community Bookshop.
