Internship in Musicology

2019 - 2020 Season

Internship Details

The WHCO is seeking graduate students of musicology for a project-based internship for the 2019 - 2020 season.

Working with the Music Director, our Musicology Intern will annotate original recordings by the WHCO from a musicological perspective to assist with our educational outreach and commitment. This will include creating original content which analyzes the form and structure of the pieces to historical insight. The final goal is to create a library of works that would be of interest to students of classical music everywhere.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice your skills while developing real-world credits and experience.

Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit arts education organization. Our home is Fort Washington Collegiate Church at 729 W. 181st St., who is partnering with us to present our 5th season in 2019-20. WHCO is comprised of the finest, professional musicians from Upper Manhattan.
